1951 - 2007
The friars made communities in Africa. Further development of the Scheppers’ works in South-America an din Belgium.
1951 - 1960
The 14th of January1951 the friars opened a boarding school for bargemen’s children in Oud-Gastel (The Netherlands). In 1956 there were 6 friars in the community. In 1998 the last friar moved from the Netherlands toward Belgium.From the First of February till 1973 the friars were active in a primary school and in a secondary pedagogical school in Musenyi (Burundi).
In 1955 a technical school of economics was started in Deurne near Antwerp (Belgium); nowadays it is still one of the three settlements of the Scheppers Institute Antwerp-Deurne.
The 26th of January 1955 the friars started in Buenos Aires (Argentina) with what is now called the Lyceo Nustra Señora de Lujàn.
The 26th of January 1956 the community of Saint-Eligius moved towards the community of Saint-Fredegandus in Deurne near Antwerp (Bbelgium). In 1977 the community returned partly to Saint-Eligius and in 1997 the community of Saint-Fredegandus was closed.
From The first of September 1959 till 1980 the friars worked in the Moniteurs School and in the primary school in Rugari (Burundi).
From the first of September 1959 till 1985 the friars were active in East-Molesey (Great-Britain) in a home for students and in the Novitiate.
From the first of August 1960 till the first of July 1969 the friars were active in the orphanage ONAOMAC and in the College Virgo Fidelis in Calambrone (Italy).
In 1960 the friars started the catholic University in Santiago del Estero (Argentina). This University was taken over by a civilian Community but with input of the friars concerning nominations.
1961
From the first of September 1961 till the first of July 1962 the friars were active in the Ecole Normale primaire in Bujumbura (Burundi).
From the first of September 1963 till the 31 of August 1966 the friars were active in the boarding school for Bargemen’s children in Teteringen (The Netherlands)
In 1964 the friars started in the primary school Our-Holy-Mary school in Mechelen (Belgium).
From the first of July 1965 till 1978 the friars worked in the boarding School for Bargemen’s children in Antwerp (Linkeroever- Belgium). In 1965 the friars moved to the Villa Scheppers in Rome with novitiate and scholasticism. From 1968 till today there is also the general committee.
From the 17th of May 1965 the friars were active in the apostolic School in Saint-Hilaire (Canada). Nowadays it is called The Collège Saint-Hilaire, where the friars are no longer active.
From te first of September 1965 till 1969 the friars were active in teh Ecole Moyenne Pédagogique of E.M.P. in Bujumbura (Burundi).
From the second of January 1967 till 1970 the friars were active in a provisional Student House and vocation house in Roa de Duero (Spain).
From the first of September 1968 till 2002 the friars were active in the social works M.I.N. of people at need in Antwerp (Belgium). This work receives ex-prisoners and indigent people and gives them a job in their own workshop.
In 1968 the general committee of Kapellen in Belgium was brought over to Villa Scheppers in Rome.
In March 1969 the friars started the primary school Nuestra Senora della Misericordia in Santiago del Estero (Argentina).
From 1969 till 1987 the friars were active in the Ecole moyenne Pédagogique de Nyakabiga in Bujumbura (Burundi).
In 1970 the community moved from Roa to Valladolid (Spain). In 1995 that community closed.
From the first of December 1970 till... the friars formed a community in the social work M.I.N. of “People at Need” in Antwerp (Belgium).
1971 - 1990
From 1972 till the first of October 1980 the friars formed a community in Zaza (Rwanda) and this in a provisional residence as the result of the riots in Burundi.
In 1973 the studying friars in Butare (Rwanda) could remain in a building of the friars of Love.
In 1976 the free primary schools in Beersel and Dworp became Scheppers Schools. They’re still part of the Saint-Victor Institute.In 1980 the friars started a “Groupe scolaire de Kabare” in Kibungo (Rwanda).
From 1980 till 1985 there were friars in the novitiate in Mutwenzi-Kirundo (Burundi).
From 1982 till today the friars take care of handicapped people in the Centre pour Handicapés of I.M.P. (Institut Médico Pédagogique) in Mutwenzi-Gitega (Burundi).
From 1983 till 1994 the friars also had a novitiate for Burundi and Rwanda in Butare (Rwanda)
From 1983 till 1989 the friars were active in Llac Sergent in Canada and this in the Sentier du retour where youngsters with problems were helped.
From 1985 till 1997 the senior friars lived in Stella Maris (Ainsdale, Great-Britain).
From 1987 till today, the friars are active in the Comedor Solidaridad misericordista in Montevideo (Uruguay).
1991 - 2007
From 1991 till today the friars work again in the Lycée Pédagogique de Nyakabigain (Bujumbura- Burundi).
From 1994 till now the friars are active in the Social Centre Tabor in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
From 1994 till now the friars are active in the Centre Madre de la Misericordia in de Barrio la Catolica in Santiago del Estero (Argentina).
In 2003 the Obra Misericordista of Buenos Aires took over the Damasa School from the sisters Zelaya de Saavedra. That school is now part of the Lyceo N.S.de Lujàn.
In September 2004 the Saint-Eligius Institute in Antwerp (Belgium) took over the Sancta Maria School in Deurne from the sisters of Vorselaar. Nowadays Sancta Maria forms together with the Saint-Eligius School in Deurne and in Antwerp, the Scheppers Institute/ Antwerp-Deurne with three campus for secondary education.In 2004 they started to build the Jardin de infantes Padre Victor in the Barrio La Catolica in Santiago del Estero (Argentina).
In 2005 they started to build the primary school San Vincente in the Barrio La Catolica in Santiago del Estero (Argentina).
The 23th of April 2007, the primary school San Vincente was solemnly opened in The Barrio la Catolica in Santiago del Estero (Argentina).
